Ever since I can remember, I have identified with Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She’s intelligent, bookish, devoted to her family, and regarded as strange by those who don’t really know her (though people I know also realize that I’m quite strange). But ever since I saw Tangled, I’ve added a bit of Rapunzel to my mix. She’s thoroughly enthusiastic about learning and adventure, clumsy, and just overall happy to be escaping from her life. While I’m here in London, I like to think that my Rapunzel side has come out more and more as I take on new challenges in my life. It could also be due to the fact that I make all of these faces daily.
